What is a logbook?
A logbook is an official record kept for a vehicle, vessel, activity or premises. In the UK the word usually means the V5C: the DVLA registration certificate that names a vehicle's registered keeper. UK law also requires logbooks for fire safety, food hygiene, drivers' hours, aviation, marine and healthcare.
Can I view my logbook online?

What is a logbook used for?
The V5C proves who a vehicle's registered keeper is and is needed when taxing, selling or scrapping it. Compliance logbooks (fire, food, transport) prove to inspectors that legally required checks actually happened.
